Forum: faqs Subject: How to get audio with video movie?

I wanted to watch a film noir movie (Impact [1949]) on my PC just now.
The video appears to be in order, but I can't get the sound.
Am I missing something?

Any tips much appreciated.

* Try to install some other media player.

* Try to download a different variation of the media file (e.g. 'ogg').

* Perhaps the volume knob on your speakers, or player, is set to minimum...

* Perhaps the volume in your player is set to 'off'. Do you hear audio in other movies?
